Painting is finding God in every brush stroke I apply on paper. I strive to create images that evoke serenity, joy and peace as I find them even in the darkest light.

Her being a lefty says a lot about her, as one
of her university professors had noted.
While inspired by impressionist masters, this
self-taught artist creates images that border
on expressionism, choosing to render
familiar objects and sceneries from unique
perspectives. When a viewer admiring her
Belgian landscape in oil gushed, "How
different and wild!," Bessie was ecstatic.
